Members of The Bunch, including new recruits Private Cellar and Haynes Hanson and Clark, met in London this week. It was the last meeting for Berry Bros and Rudd, who joined the group in 2003, but have decided to leave. The Bunch was set up in 1993 to champion the cause of the independent wine trade in the UK and individual, grower-made wines. These standards are enshrined in The Bunch Code of Practice

Current chairman, Robert Boutflower commented: “Membership of The Bunch reassures our customers, that the wines they buy will be handled, stored and delivered correctly and to the highest service level. This was the basis on which the original group of merchants came together, and continues to be the most important and most relevant item of our Code. We are sad to say goodbye to BB&R but thank them for their contribution over the past 16 years. We will continue as an affiliation of the best wine merchants in the UK offering the highest standards of service in these uncertain times.”

Save the date: Bunch tasting 2019 – Thursday 19th September at No 67 Pall Mall

The members of The Bunch are Adnams, Corney & Barrow, Haynes Hanson & Clark, Lea & Sandeman, Private Cellar, Tanners & Yapp Brothers.
